AutoVille is a revolutionary and interactive alternative to the traditional motor show, an exhilarating celebration of car culture and motor sport, attractive to vast audiences and accessible to fans of all ages. The inaugural edition of the Saudi International Motor Festival took place in Riyadh. The festival thrilled fans with over 100 car brands, live drift shows, street racing, karting, various driving challenges and multiple live concerts.

Scope of work

JAM was tasked with the full overview of live operational health, safety and environmental services for the inaugural AutoVille, including:

• In-depth risk analysis of all motorsport activities on-site
• Implementation of site-specific motorsports control measures
• Safety planning to feed into overall site design
• Ensured all activities were in line with local regulations and best international practices
• Emergency planning, training and implementation
• Crowd management planning, guest and emergency capacity calculations
• Liaison with GACA for sign off on drone shows and subsequent management of live shows
• Management of the engineering team for third party sign off on all structures
• Delivery of the full on-the-ground event safety and crowd management team
• Safety zone management of all five zones
• Command and control of MOC / JOC
• Safety management of all special effects and pyrotechnics
