The Etihad Arena is an 18,000 capacity multi-purpose indoor entertainment venue in Abu Dhabi that is the largest of its kind in the UAE. Purpose-built for versatility with multiple configurations available at the click of a button the Etihad Arena won the Sustainable Building Design of the Year at the prestigious MENA Green Building Awards 2018. A world-class venue, the Arena regularly hosts some of the largest sports, music and entertainment acts in the world.

Scope of work

JAM was tasked with providing:

• Event safety consultancy during the construction phase of the venue to ensure common event related safety issues were considered in the early phases.
• Event safety venue preparation and snagging in the final stages of construction and prior to handover to the venue operators.
• Creation of all venue safety paperwork including safety procedures, SOPs, and emergency management planning.
• In-venue safety consultancy and safety management of touring companies during the inaugural year of the venue, including the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
