Event Safety Guide for a UAE Emirate

JAM was approached by a UAE emirate with the request to write their full event safety guide that would be released as the national event safety guideline in the future.
Scope of work
Writing the full event safety guide required:
- Worldwide analysis of existing event safety frameworks
- Preparing a risk profile structure for events in order to categorise them by level of risk.
- Undertaking a gap analysis and a review of the current safety framework globally benchmarked against five existing country frameworks
- Creating a risk profile matrix of events based on type and scale
- Conducting interviews with all stakeholders including but not limited to: police, civil defence, food safety, events departments and licensing departments
- Reviewing and advising on a new event licensing structure.
- Writing an occupational safety guide for delivering safe events in the emirate.
JAM delivered a 30,000-word event safety guide focused on separate industry sectors, as listed below, for each stakeholder’s use and reference:
- Event organisers
- Venues
- Suppliers and contractors
- Government stakeholders
