X-Reality is a 1100 sqm virtual reality gaming activation at City Walk and forms part of the Jeddah Seasons. The activation incorporates six different virtual reality gaming zones.

Scope of work

As well as providing both Technical Directors and Senior Health and Safety Advisors for the duration of the build, JAM also actioned:

• Amendment of historical CAD plans along with the creation of new versions reflecting untracked variations.
• Integration with the previously established event delivery team to ensure technical delivery met the intended vision of the original scope.
• Advise on all technical elements of the project.
• Calculation of event power requirements for overall power delivery planning.
• Planning of stable internet connection throughout the activation ensuring minimal latency to enable a smooth and enjoyable gaming experience.
• Reviewing of all contractor technical and safety documentation.
• On-site monitoring of safety during the build phase.
• Fire safety planning in line with the Saudi Fire Code including fire fighting equipment, fire/smoke detection and alarm system requirements.
• Emergency management planning and training.
