Legendary US rock band KISS performed at a Guinness World Record breaking concert in Dubai at The Atlantis on The Palm, welcoming in New Year 2021 in style. Capturing the highest number of flame throwers (73) and tallest flame (180 ft) breaking 2 x Guiness World Records. Involved the building of the largest stage ever constructed in Dubai, at 76m x 32m and managing and implementing of ten days of 400 daily PCR tests in custom on-site PCR testing facility. Live worldwide streaming broadcast which used 50 4K cameras and $1.2m fireworks lasting over 9 minutes.
Scope of Work
- Liaising and advising the production team on implementing working practices on the grounds of an active and world famous 5-star hotel.
- Liaising with hotel management, security, and safety team to ensure guest safety.
- Planning with the production and KISS teams on international band and crew movements to limit potential COVID-19 interactions.
- Planning and advising all teams regarding the safety zones, safe bubbles and safe zones in order to protect all crew to ensure the safety of the show
- Constant monitoring of all crews on the event site and enforcing of strict COVID-19 regulations.
- Reviewing and advising on local laws, rules and regulations to the international worldwide team.
- Creation and implementation of the show day security movements in order to protect the band, including emergency band movement and rescue plans.
- Creation of a bespoke emergency operation plan covering all areas of the event.
- Creation and implementation of the emergency management plan in line with Dubai Police, Civil Defence and the Event Security Council.
